Ronaldo Under Investigation For Breaking Covid-19 Protocols in Italy
Cristiano
Ronaldo is under investigation for breaking coronavirus protocols in Italy, says
Italian Sports minister, Vincenzo Spadafora.
Spadafora sasys that after tested positive for Covid-19 Ronaldo travelled from Lisbon to Italy, where he has a home near Turin. According to sports minister Ronaldo flew to Italy without authorization from the health authorities.
“Cristiano did not
respect the protocol, there is an investigation by the federal prosecutor’s office to prove it” Spadafora told to a local media called Rai Tre.
He tested positive for Covid-19 on 13th October, while he was returning back in Portugese after playing a match for Portugal in UEFA Nations League.
However
Ronaldo and his Club denied these claims made by Italian minister. Earlier this
month Juventus issues a statement mentioning that “Cristiano Ronaldo returned
to Italy with a medical flight authorized by the relevant health authorities at
the request of the player and will continue his isolation at home.” Meanwhile
Ronaldo posted on Instagram saying that he did not break any protocol.
“I
did not break any protocol. They are saying that I broke Italian laws but it’s
all a lie. I spoke with my team and we have the responsibility to do things
right.
Ronaldo
says that he did everything accordingly with authorization and he is abided by
all the protocols.
