United and Chelsea settle for draw
Manchester United and Chelsea settle for a goalless draw at Old Trafford leaving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still without a win at home since the start of the season. United came into the game boosting with confidence after an emphatic win over PSG in the champions league. For most part the Red Devils dominated but failed to break the deadlock. Second half substitute Edison Cavani came the closest.
The draw leaves United well off the pace in 15th place with seven points. Frank Lampard's men sit in sixth position with nine points from six games. United did have better chances in the game but Chelsea keeper Mendy was in fine form to keep United at bay.
Chelsea had a strong shout for a penalty in the first half rejected by VAR. Harry Maguire had Chelsea skipper Azpilicueta headlocked while defending a corner. United started posing serious threats with the introduction of Paul Pogba and Cavani. The pair combined with Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes but could not find the killer finish.
Earlies fixtures of the day saw Palace win 2-1 against Struggling Fulham while West Ham continued their incredible run with a impressive points against Manchester City.
