Oggy Returns to the Pitch After Knee Injury

Former Foakaidhoo FC vice captain Mohamed Jailam (Oggy) returns to the pitch after recovering from a knee injury.

Oggy has returned in his full training and joined pre-season practice of Club Green Street, which started today at Henveiru stadium. 

During last season he played for Foakaidhoo FC, however he missed last few matches of the season due to a knee injury.  Oggy was injured in Foakaidhoo FC's 3-2 victory over Eagles and. Oggy had a successful knee surgery in ADK hospital under the well known orthopaedic team of Dr. Shakeel.

Club Green Street signed Oggy in July 2020, before he had fully recovered after the surgery.

Oggy, already a senior national player, has  won the 'most promising player' of the year award in the 'Maldives Football Awards of 2018'. 

Oggy was first featured in a first division club when he was 16 years old.  He started  with BG sports club. Football experts says that Oggy is a different style player who could have a great career ahead. Oggy was a star in Under 23 national team. He also played in Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG) in 2018.

Oggy is listed in the squad of senior national team which will play in the upcoming World Cup/Asian Cup joint qualifying.
