B atoll Hithaadhoo futsal ground officially opened on Saturday night. 

Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment spent 1,387,756 for this project. This futsal ground was developed with a lighting system to facilitate night time games as well. Contractor of the project was Copains Investment. 

A grand opening ceremony was held last night along with a friendly futsul match. Sports Minister Ahmed Mahloof participated the event virtually. Speaking at the ceremony Minister said that current government will not differentiated Islands by looking at its population, while developing facilities according to demands of youth community and they will treat equally.

Minister also highlighted that Hithaadhoo is one of the Islands where many professional athletes were made. He also gave the assurance that government will bring more sports developments to Hithadhoo in the future. 

Earlier Minister Mahloof thanked Hithaadhoo youth community and Island Council for their support in completing the futsal ground.
