Today, Football Association of Maldives (FAM) entered into a partnership agreement with all Premier League Clubs of Maldives to provide financial Assistance.

 

Agreements signed between the clubs and FAM are under a special financial assistance program named "Towards Future, FAM Financial Project". 

 

General Secretary of FAM, Hussain Jawaz stated that this agreement is a part of a promise made by their President Bassam Adeel Jaleel during the last FAM election.

 

Under this project FAM will be providing nearly 3 million Rufiyaa for the development of football and financial strengthening of clubs.  

 

This agreement consists of seven major objectives, which includes Club Licensing, Academy and Youth Development, Club Financial Report, Senior Woman activities, CSR activities and Promotional activities.

 

The main aim of the projects empowers to change the managing model of clubs into a business model. Jawaz also mentioned that this project will assist clubs to stand up on their feet in management issues.

 

Jawaz said that in the future FAM will provide extra space for clubs economical activities, from the buildings they built under all the infrastructure projects.
