Maziya to cut down spending
As the world struggles with Covid-19 the financial impact of the pandemic Maziya have now said that the club will cut down spending. Maziya splashed the cash to bring three overseas players and extended the contract of pacey front man Stewart Cornelius.
Maziya's big spending was justified when they secured berth into the AFC Cup group stages after beating Indian powerhouse Bengaluru FC. Meanwhile all of Maziya's foreign players contracts have already ended and gaffer Marjan Sekulovski's contract has also ended.
It is to been seen what decision Maziya will take about the future of the squad but it is likely that the club will let go some players to cut down spending. However, Maziya still have the AFC Cup group stages and are strong contenders alongside Basandhura Kings of Bangladesh to fight for top spot in the group.
Maziya is well know to be the best financially established club with a well planned structure in terms of spending and player wages.
