league season unlikely to start in June
The Maldivian Footballing season that was previously planned to start in late June is now likely to postponed due to the outbreak of Coronavirus in Male'.
As of now more than seven people have tested positive in Male' and the number is likely to rise. The government has now decided to shut down the entire country and with Male' in full lock down.
The FA is likely to monitor the situation and take actions. The coronavirus has had major implications. TC have been quarantined twice. First in Sri Lanka and again once they were taken to quarantine upon arrival back home.
Meanwhile AFC has advised member nations to take all measures to protect players, officials and media personality involved. The AFC has banned all of it's competition due to coronavirus.
Earlier due to coronavirus the Maldivian health protection agency imposed a ban on all sporting facilities and social gatherings.
