Darren Stewart finalizes squad to face Afghanistan and Bhutan

National teams squad which will face Afghan in an international friendly and Bhutan in the AFC Asian cup 2019 United Arab Emirates qualifiers has been announced. Red snappers will face Lions of Khurasan on the 6th of June in Dubai.

The team will depart to Thailand the following day after the match and will spend 4 days in Bangkok. National team will depart for Thimphu on the 11th of June. The match between Bhutan and Maldives will take place on the 13th of this month.

The players who missed out on the final squad are full back Azzam who missed out due to injury and Midfielder Ibrahim Waheed of TC along with young goalkeepers Zimmam and Hussain Shareef.

Maldives and Bhutan are yet to register a point in group D as both sides lost their opening matches. Bhutan suffered a thumping 14-0 loss away from home in Muscat. Meanwhile Maldives suffered a 3-0 loss at home to Palestine.
