Maziya skipper Asadulla undergoes knee surgery
Maziya skipper Asadullah Abdullah has successfully undergone a knee surgery at ADK hospital. The club published the news on Maziya's Facebook page.
The club said that their skipper had undergone a surgery on a torn ACL and that he was expected to be out for around six months. The club also wished him a speedy recovery.
'Maziya's captain Assadulla Abdulla underwent successful surgery at ADK Hospital last night to repair a torn ACL in his right knee. Assadulla was injured during the 1st leg of AFC Cup play-off stage match played last month. Assadulla is expected to be out of action for a period of 6-7 months'. The statement said.
Asadulla has been a vital part of Maziya over the years and has played a massive role in many of the success the club has achieved.
During Maziya's AFC cup playoff first leg win in Male' Asadullah went off injured and the club soon confirmed that he will be out for rest of the season. In a late attempt to find a backup for Asadullah, Maziya secured the services of Baa Atoll goal machine Kithuna.
