TC Sports suffered a 5-1 defeat in the opening game of the AFC Cup against Bashundhara Kings in Dhaka. Kings marquee signing for the season Barcos Hernan stole the spotlight in the game with four goals. TC's consolation goal was scored by Ismail Easa.

Barcos drew first blood in the 18^th minute. The Argentine superstar Barcos beat Akram Abdul Ghanee in the air to fire a powerful header into the back of the net a send Basandhura King fans into total frenzy.

However, Kings joy was short lived as Ali Ashfaq won a penalty in the 20^th minute. Ismail Esa stepped up to take the spot kick. Easa’s effort was denied by Kings goalie Anisur Rahman but Easa slotted home from the rebound to make it all square.

TC once again fell behind five minutes later. Barcos firing home another header into the back of the net despite Hanif’s best efforts to save the ball.

 Barcos converted from the spot in the 68th minute after Colindres had been brought down in the area. Kings captain Colindres got on the end of a wonderful delivery from Bishwnath Ghosh to score his first goal of the AFC campaign. 

Barcos completed his double brace in the second minute of injury time when he looped the ball into an empty net after Hanif’s attempt to clear under pressure went wrong and found Barcos who slotted home with ease.

Former New Radiant boss Oscar Bruzon continues his fine record against TC Sports. TC have now suffered losses against Oscar's side in every occasion they have met.
