Maziya Sports have arrived in Chennai and begun preparation for the AFC Cup group E clash against Indian I league champions Chennai City FC. 

Maziya players held a light gym session upon arriving in Chennai and will hold a practice session prior to the game. Maziya's fixture with Chennai is set to take place on the 11th of March. 

On paper Chennai City FC are favorites for the game but Maziya have proven many wrong after eliminating South Asia's favorite side Bengaluru FC in the playoffs and are now the dark hoses of the group. Many expect Maziya to give a strong fight in the group. 

Coming into to the game Maziya suffered a shock defeat against Eagles in the final game of the league and were taken to penalties of the FA cup by a resilient Green Streets side. However, Maziya manager Marjan Sekulovski rested many of his key players. 

Meanwhile, for Chennai City FC their recent run of form has been terrible. From a possible 12 points Akbar Nawas men piked up just six points and struggling to retain their from last campaign. Chennai lie 8th in the I league Standings 16 points a drift of league leaders Mohun Bagan.
