Maziya sports and recretion has departed for the final game of AFC cup group E where they will take on last years finalist Bengaluru FC. Bengaluru took all three points in Male' thanks to Johnson's late strike.

Despite losing to the blues Maziya have won all others games in the group and currently top the standings with 12 points from 5 games. Bengaluru failed to take advantage of their win against green boys as they suffered a shock defeat in Dhaka and lost against rivals Mohun Bagan away from home.

Maziya can book their place in the next round with a point at the sree Kanteerava stadium. Meanwhile for the blues anything short of three points will see the wave goodbye to 2017 AFC cup.

Maziya were given a break in STO Male' league matchday two. With this Maziya have see their captain Asadulla who was injured return to full fitness and get much needed rest from the congested schedule they have.

With changes to the format of AFC cup only one team from south Asian group will make it to the next round.
