Kithuna agrees to join Maziya
Adam Nizam (Kithuna) has agreed to join Maziya Sports and Recreation for the upcoming AFC Cup group stages. The news was confirmed by Maziya General Secretary Hussain Shifau (Kokky) to Boalhamv. Kithuna was a crucial part of Super United in their bid for promotion.
Kithuna was the top scorer in the second division and he also grabbed the best player award earning him a call up to the National Team. Kithuna has previously held Baa Fehendhoo to the premier league and was vital when Eydhafushi lifted the Minivan Championship. Kithuna also featured in the Maldives National Volleyball squad.
Born in Baa Goidhoo the 32 year old is well know in his native Baa Atoll has been a star in many of the competitions held in the atoll. Kithuna has played in a number of Futsal, Football and Volleyball tournaments.
Maziya were desperate for a striker with captain Asadullah Abdullah suffering a long term knee injury and requiring surgery. Kithuna's arrival will boost attacking options for Maziya boss Marjan Sekulovski who is preparing his side for the AFC cup after they secured a shoot-out win over Indian Super league champions Bengaluru FC.
