FA sign agreement with SKY Wind of Korea to develop major projects
Football Association of Maldives have signed an agreement with Sky Wind Global of South Korea to run three big development projects. The three projects include the construction of a 20 story FA house, A four story Futsal Arena in the newly reclaimed land and 20 artificial grass pitches in different atolls.
The 20 story Fa house is financed through a 17 million dollar interest free loan and the project is to be completed with in the next five years. The futsal arena is to be built on the reclaimed phase two of Hulhumale' where 17 thousand feets have been allocated for FAM.
The futsal arena comes with commercial spaces as well. The commercial areas will be used to generate income while the upper floor will also include a training facility as well.
The 20 artificial pitches are to be allocated among different atolls after negotiating with the Sports Ministry. Out of the 20 turf pitches one has been allocated for Male' while the one for Villimale' and one for Hulhumale' the other 17 pitches are to be completed in different atolls.
There are many other projects under construction. One of the projects is the football school building under construction in Hulhumale'. The villimale' turf ground works are also in progress while the temporary FAM building is all set to be complete in time for the demolishing of the current FAM house.
