Recently most of the first division club’s coaches and officials has raised concern over the lightning issue at FAM turf ground.

“ We find very difficult to train here. In some areas  it is very difficult to even find the ball due to darkness. This is the only place for first division clubs to train. It should be better than this.”

A club official raised his concern back then.

This two turf grounds are the only place where first division clubs train for the local tournaments and six football academies train their young players daily both day and night.

But now it seems FAM has taken the issue into hand to seriously as Mr.Javaaz , the general secretary to the football governing body of Maldives said that they are working to fix the lightning system at the turf ground.

And the result is shown. From the two turf grounds, the number 2 Turf’s lightning system is all fixed. With this the club officials looks satisfied as they can train more effectively than before. In addition to fixing the dimness in the training grounds, FAM also has brought few maintenance changes to the turf ground infrastructure. FAM is now working to solve the TURF 1 lightning issue, which also seems will be done in a short time.

Recently national football stadium lightning system also was fixed regarding to AFC requirements.
