SAFF Winning Goalkeeper Coach Rejoins Eagles
Maldives National team's goalkeeper coach Aslam Abdul Raheem has joined Eagles for the rest of the season.
Aslam who has trained some of the best goalkeepers of this region is back with Eagles goalkeeper Sujan Perrera. Sri Lankan shot stopper Sujan who often praised Aslam has even captained Sri Lanka. Sujan rose to fame in Sri Lanka starring for the Lions. Aslam helped Eagles secure Sujan's signature in 2015 after injury to then Eagles goalkeeper Faisal Mohamed, current 'Most Valueable Player' of SAFF Championship. Aslam helped train Maldives number goalkeeper after his return from serious injury in 2015.
Talking to BoalhaMV, Aslam said he will be training goalkeepers within the Football Association's Goalkeeper Academy. Aslam said that he was requested by Club Eagles. Aslam is keen to work with senior goalkeepers to improve the goalkeepers and himself.
