The national remains divided as far as Petar Segrt is concerned. After SAFF Championships I was in awe of the 'new' coach, but time unfolded I can't help but think that Segrt's biggest achievement with Maldives is winning that flip of the coin against Sri Lanka(Maldives qualified to the semi-finals after a very poor performance in group stages). I can't help but believe the story that senior players revolted and took the matter to their own hands in the semi-final and final matches. But a win is still a win. The flip of the coin bought more time for Segrt. Though most people have lost faith in him, the Football Association for some reason are still keeping him.

For me, I don't care who is in-charge as long as we are performing well. However I have three questions for Segrt. 

First, you said qualifying to the World Cup was your priority. Now that we are fourth in the group, now you are telling us even Guam is better than us? 

Secondly, we were a two goals down to Syria, Dhagandey(Ali Ashfaq) came on got a goal, got their defender sent off, we were doing well thirteen minutes from time. You chose to take off Dhaadhu(Hassan Naiz) when clearly he and Dhagandey were linking up well. No sign of tiredness. Such an important time in the game, if we had gotten a second goal, them with tired ten men, it would have been a tremendous result, but you chose to bring on Aya(Ayaz) a debudant. A debut! AT that crucial time? Second part of the question, after Dhagandey and Dhaadhu linked up well against Syria, you keep them on the bench against Philippines. You gave them like twenty minutes after we fell behind! Mr Segrt did you bet on Maldives losing these two games? Surely you must feel something that you go around people apologizing. Honestly it looks like deliberate sabotage.

Finaly, Mr Segrt you may have fooled some people, but you need to explain your contradictions! Do you think we Maldivians are fools? Why did you stop Dhagandey from getting closer in the world's best active goal scorer chart? was is because he didn't come to the press conference as you said. Or was is that he apologized too late as you said! Or was it that he was too old as you said! or the latest most hilarious one, that you didn't need them for SAFF Championship but you need them now that it is World Cup! Wait a minute! Didn't you tell us that the reason you omitted him was that he was too old for the World Cup? 

Well sir, summarize it for you! First- Wasn't your target the World Cup and whats your excuse now. Second- Did you deliberately sabotage our chances? Did you bet on us losing? Third and last- When are you going to explain your contradictions to us.
