The greatest player in the history of Maldivian football and captain of Maldives national football team Ali Ashfaq has signed for New Radiant sports club.

General Secretary of New Radiant Ahmed Niyaz moosa said that Ashfaq signed for blues today. No further detail was given by Niyaz. Ashfaq's name will be added to the list after the mid season transfer which opens on the 14th of June.

Ashfaq has previously had two spells with the blues first in 2006 and again in 2012 winning all domestic trophies and helping blues to an AFC quarter final in a season which he scored more than 50 goals.

Along with Ashfaq New Radiant have also signed experienced midfield maestro Ibrahim Fazeel who returned from Wales after spending time with Welsh 2nd division side Llangefni town football club.
