Ismail Zaan Amir signs with UD Canals of Spain.

Zaan will start training today with his new team mates. Zaan signs from Racing d'Algemesi youth side is the second Maldivian to play in Spain now. The other Maldives youth star Mirash Imthiyaz plays for CF Mollet.

Zaan starred for EduKick Acamdemy in Manchester before moving to Spain. Youngster Zaan made a couple of appearances Club Valencia in 2016. Zaan, nephew of Maldives legends former national captain Ismail Asif(kuda Heena) and the current Commissioner of Sports Ahmed Saleem(Bodu Heena) moved to Manchester in 2014. Former Iskandhar School Captain is capped for Maldives under 16 and under 14 teams. Zaan during off season works as coach for kids in Early Touch Football Academy, where he used to play before leaving to Manchester. Zaan worked with TNGS(The Next Generation Sports) moving up through the ranks working with different clubs. TNGS is a sports consultancy agency based in Spain working in more than twenty five countries helping young players reach their potential.
