Tajikistan thrashes Maldives under 19 9-0 in the the AFC Cup qualifying match held in Tajikistan.

Sharifbek Rahmatove opened the scoring for Tajikistan in the 4th minutes. Manuchehr Safarov doubled Tajiks leads five minutes later blasting the ball into the net. Hattrick hero Shahrom Samiev made it 3-0 few minutes later. By half time Tajikistan has already routed Maldives by 6-0. 

3 more goals added in the second half send Tajikistan to the top of the table. Earlier today Syria drew 1-1 with Lebanon. 

Maldives arrived in Tajikistan on the match day and looked very tired. Maldives under 19 team traveled from Nepal, after beating Bhutan 1-0 in the third place match of the SAFF Under 18 Championship. On the 4th of October Maldives will take on Syria while the favorites and hosts Tajikistan will take on Lebanon.
