Foakaidhoo Defeat Nilandhoo 2-1 in the Premier League fixture tonight. Both team fought hard until referee Mohamed Javiz gave Foakaidhoo a very late penalty with foul on Mustafa Seddik.

Foakaidhoo dominated much of the first half, Nilandhoo organized in defense and going for effective counter attacks. Foakaidhoo finally too the lead when Mustafa Seddik's pin point cross after going past a defender was headed in by Foakaidhoo striker Nadheem Navaz(Gerrard), Gerrard's header bounced off the bar for Khalil Gamal to score the opener for Foakaidhoo. Nilandhoo pushed hard. In the dying minutes of the first half, Mohamed Jailam's(Oggy) counter attack was stopped and a freekick was given to Nilandhoo. Poor defending cost Foakaidhoo as former New Radiant defender Kingsley Chukwadi Nkurumeh scored the equalizing past the helpless Saqib Hanif left exposed by his defense.

Foakaidhoo's break came finally after numerous misses by Gerrard, substitute Hassan Fuad(Jack) and Mustafa Seddik. Mustafa was fouled in the box, scoring from the spot to make it 2-1. In the dying minutes there was more confusion as Ahmed Sajid's horror tackle just missed Oggy. The tackle and Oggy's reaction earned them both marching orders.

There were confusion after the game as players and officials from both the teams went at each other. Foakaidhoo remains in 6th place while Nilandhoo's two match winning streak comes to an end.
