Imran (Messi)'s Strike Gives Maldives 3rd Place In SAFF U18 Championship
Ibrahim Imran scored the only goal of the game today as Maldives beat Bhutan in the ongoing SAFF Under 18 Championship in Nepal. Before the final showdown between India and Bangladesh, Maldives beat Bhutan to secure third place in the competition.
These two teams that already played to a scoreless match in the group-A clash ended the first half 0-0.
Both teams going at each other in the second half, left back Hamdhoon Abdul Latheef came forward cutting inside, Ibrahim Imran(Messi) ran behind him into space, Ibrahim Saavee who started the move played perfectly to Imran who scored to make it 1-0 for Maldives. Both teams went close to scoring before MD Anisur Rahman ended the game 1-0 after six minutes of stoppage time.
Later today India will play against Bangladesh in the SAFF U-18 final match.
