Maldives under 18 captain Hassan Nazeem Gassim(Choatu) calls for support Maldives team that faces India today.

Maldives will play group A winners India today in the SAFF Under 18 Championship semi-finals held in Nepal. 

"Support us, Inn Sha Allah We Will Go Back With The Trophy This Time" said Choatu speaking from Nepal. Addressing the supporters after yesterday's practice session Choatu said that they have come this far with the help of the supporters and it's important that they get it today as well. Maldives 18 year old attacker plays a key role for Foakaidhoo FC in the Dhivehi Premier League. The young starlet has already been capped in the Maldives senior national team.

Maldives drew their first game 1-1 against two time champions Nepal and drew their second game scoreless against fellow semi-finalists Bhutan. Meanwhile India beat Sri Lanka 3-0 and drew scoreless against Bangladesh to qualify as the winner of group B. This is the first time a Maldivian national team junior side has qualified for the second round of a SAFF competition.
