Mollet Unio Esportiva has extended the contract of Maldivian starlet Miraash Imthiyaz(Aash).

The Primera Catalana league team extended the Aash's contract, being part of the team that was promoted last season. Aash, moved to UE Cornella of Barcelona playing in under 15 Cadet and under 19 Juvenile leagues before moving to Mollet UE. During his time at UE Cornella, Aash also trained with the Maldives under 19 squad but he didn't travel with the squad. Before moving to Spain, the Youngster starred for Iskandhar School in the Inter School Tournaments in Male'. The Youngster was a long time trainee at Early Touch Football Academy fondly known as Heena's Academy.

Talking to BoalhaMV, Aash said that he is pleased to have signed an extension to the contract at Mollet UE as it is a good stage for young players to improve and get exposure. "My plans for the season are to get most minutes I can, to keep improving and to help my team with goals and assists" the youngster said.

When asked if he would play for Maldives, Aash said that he was hopeful that he will play for Maldives.

"It doesn't depend on me, It's the coach's decision. I would love to play for the National Team" Aash added.
