Former Manager Praises The Under 19 National Team
Maldives former National Team manager Mohamed Easa(More) has praised the Maldives under 19 national team on his Facebook page.
After praising the national team, more thanked the management and the coaching staff for the hard work they had put in preparing the squad. "It give me pleasure to know that Maldives recent history has not seen a junior national team prepare as well as the under 19 team are preparing now" More wrote on his Facebook page.
More posted this message after Dhivehi Premier League Champions TC Sports managed 1-0 win over the Maldives under-19 and Foakaidhoo only managed a goalless draw against them. Maldives under 19 only lost 2-3 to Maziya among other positive results.
The youngsters are set to travel to Qatar on camp before heading to SAFF under-19 Championships, where no junior team has ever gone past the group stages. Maldives are drawn with hosts Nepal and Bhutan after Pakistan withdrew from the competition. Under 19's best player has now been called into the senior national team. Hassan Nazeem Gassim(Choatu), the Foakaidhoo Sports Club striker has started for Foakaidhoo in the Dhivehi Premier League last two seasons.
More worked as the manager of Maldives national team when Maldives won the SAFF Suzuki Cup 2018, More also won the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup in Bangladesh with TC Sports.
