Hassan Nazeem Gassim(Choatu) scored a hattrick in Maldives under 19's 4-1 Victory over Naifaru under 23 team.

Ibrahim Imran(Messi) scored the other goal for Maldives while Ahmed Wigan scored Naifaru's only goal. Wigan who played for Victory in the under 21 Championship was also selected for the National under 19 following good performance for Naifaru.

Choatu plays in the Dhivehi Premier League for Foakaidhoo FC and are 4th in the DPL. The Foakaidhoo star also played for Maldives under 23 earlier in the season under coach Petar Segrt, the senior National Coach. 

Talking to BoalhaMV, Maldives under 19 coach Shazly praised his boys performance as well as the opposition. "Naifaru was very organized and played well too, there were players from under 23 national team and players who had performed previously in the under 21 league." Shazly added.

Shazly also added that his boys dominated the game and that he is very confident of their ability. "Choatu's experience from the league makes him an outstanding for the under 19 team" Coach Shazly said.

Under 19 National team will travel back to Male' tomorrow evening before their friendly match against Dhivehi Premier League side Green Streets on 29th July. Majority of players are from Club Eagles including captain Ahmed Samah.
