Maldives chances of progressing is slim in Indian Ocean Island Games group B after losing 0-3 to Comoros today.

A brace by striker Nazarali and a goal by Ibroihim gave Comoros a comfortable lead before halftime. Maldives made two changes during halftime with no change to scoreline in the second half.

The result see's Maldives with a minus six-goal difference with zero points. If Maldives win their last group game and against Mayotte and Reunion beat Comoros, Reunion will have nine points and the other three teams with three points each. With the huge goal difference, Maldives has a very slim chance of progressing from group B of the Indian Ocean Games.
