Under-13 National Pool Starts Training With New Coach
Maldives Under-13 National Pool starts training with Ismail Asif(Kuda Heena).
Maldives National Team practices began last night with Kuda Heena taking over from former National player Ibrahim Haleem(Jada) who moved to Under-16 National team. Maldives under-13 National Team isn't scheduled to take part in any competition this year, though Kuda Heena will be looking to develop for the future. BoalhaMV understand Kuda Heena will work in a long term plan with a pool of players. A chunk of future under-16 players are expected to come from this pool.
Kuda Heena, former National Team captain is a well known coach in Maldives winning considerable success with the likes of Club Valencia, AYL and Vyanza as a coach. Kuda Heena known for his Tiki Taka style of game in coaching career is one of the best dribblers the country has produced. Maldives first SAFF Championship Silver Medal holder played much of his career in Club Valencia. The technically gifted player is known for taking on defenders. Kuda Heena is the brother of well known former National captain, coach and Sports Commissioner Heena Ahmed Saleem(Bodu Heena).
