New radiant get a hard fought three points in the STO male’ league with win over arch rivals TC sports club to go top of the league.
New radiant now have 12 points from 5 games. TC are still in 4th with 7 points from 4 games.
Spanish striker Adrian Gallardo and midfielder Abdulla Midhuhath scored for New radiant while TC’s only goal was scored by Ibrahim mahudhee.
Adrian Gallardo broke the deadlock in the 17th minute after a cross from Ali Fasir. But soon after he was forced off with an injury.
New radiant double their lead in the second half after Abdulla Midhuhath saw his shot from inside the box hit the far post before ending up in the back of the net.
Soon after New radiant’s second goal TC took control of the game and scored in the 68th minute. Ibrhim mahudhee fired a shot from inside the box that went past Imran Mohamed.
TC had a handful of opportunities but failed to equalize. In the dying minutes of the game new radiant had two back to back chances from counter attacks but TC goalkeeper kiran kept them.
