New Radiant Sports Club who are currently under FAM’s suspension due to unpaid salaries, has started official talk with Mohamed Nizam (Nizambe) to bring the team back to its peak.

Nizambe confirmed to Boalha.mv that the blues have begun negotiating with him officially. Nizambe is one of the most successful coaches locally. TC Sports Club promoted to first division and also won the league under his coaching.

Many New Radiant supporters have initiated talks with New Radiant’s founder Ahmed Waheed (Queen Waheed) to bring New Radiant back from this suspension and into the top of Maldivian football again.

New Radiant has achieved massive feats and also established records in the past decade which includes going a season unbeaten and being the only Maldivian team to reach the semi-finals of the AFC Cup which is the farthest any Maldivian team has ever gone. The club is also one of the most successful clubs locally and many national star players have worn the blue shirt with pride and won numerous titles with them in the past.

However, developing situation so far hasn’t been good for the club which included their chairman Colonel Retired Mohamed Ziyad resigning last night. As a reason for resignation he said there were others interested in the position and due his work and personal life, he has to live abroad for most of the time which brings difficulties for him to remain as chairman of the club.
