Former Valencia legend, Adam Abdul Latheef(Lacchey) is set to continue his role as the head coach of Nilandhoo FC according to our sources.

Lacchey who was appointed to Nilandhoo halfway through the season, transformed Nilandhoo from second from bottom to a top six finish thrashing Lacchey's former team Foakaidhoo FC to steal the creditable sixth place from them. 

Nilandhoo started their Premier League campaign as one of the semi-finalists of the Minivan Championship. Without a coach, Nilandhoo was helped by former National team captain and former National assistant coach Assad Abdul Ghani. 

Since the introduction of the former Maldives National goal machine Lacchey, Nilandhoo's fortunes changes.

The newly introduced format allows Minivan Championship sides to retain their Premier League status if they finish above the drop zone in the first round. Nilandhoo managed to jump above Fehendhoo to retain their Premiership status in the last few games of the first round.
