Inter School: Ghaazee and Hiriya takes wins against Ahmadhiyya and Billabong
With already one title of the year in their own hands, Hiriya started their junior side with the same expectations of getting another trophy. Their first meal on the road to another title was Billabong High. Not much was expected from the Billabong side as in previous tournaments the Billabong got defeated heavily in the group stages.
Hiriya started the game with their intentions clear, striking six minutes into the game, courtesy of Abdulla Izan Bin Mohamed. That was followed by an Amil Ali strike in the 15th minute which doubled their lead. Another goal was added to their advantage four minutes from halftime as Nahyaan Hussain Habeeb struck another goal showcasing their dominance. The second half was more balanced however. Despite Nahyaan Hussain Habeeb striking in three minutes into the half increasing Hiriya’s lead, Billabong were a much better side in the second half than they were in the first. This improvement prevented any further goals from being conceded and three minutes to full time whistle, they managed to score in the form of Kaisaan Niyaz.
Despite the win, Hiriya will have to stay in the second spot for a while as in the following game, Ghaazee thrashed Ahmadhiyya seven goals to one. In the 12th minute Ghaazee’s Yoosuf Absam Mohamed Rasheed opened the scring of the game which ten minutes later he would double. That second goal was followed by Mohamed Uwais Bin Nooh. The second half held even more drama. Yoosuf Absam Mohamed Rasheed completed his hat-trick four minutes in and followed that up with another goal in the 42nd minute.Shuhood Ahmed Rishfan striked their 7th goal in the 50th minute. However, in the 52nd minute Mohamed Markin Ibrahim strikes the Ghaazee net. Three minutes from time another goal was seen as Shuhood Ahmed Rishfan strikes his brace.
These results meant group D will now be topped by Ghaazee due to their tremendous gaol difference. Hiriya follows them closely I second. Stay tuned to Boalha.mv for more updates on the tournament.
