Gdh. Thinadhoo team appoints a Spanish coach for 2017 Minivan Championship

Gdh. Thinadhoo team preparing for the 2017, Minivan Championship has appointed Spanish Coach Alves Sanchez Miguel. Miguel has previous working experience in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and England. Miguel has signed a one year contract with the team and will work with youth development programme in the island after the Minivan Championship. The club President states the vision is to create and develop talented youngsters in the island and bring back the passion for football which the island had in the early 90s. Thinadhoo has a rich history in Maldivian football, winning the zone championship in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001.

Thinadhoo team is preparing for the Minivan Championship with the aim to win the tournament and to qualify for 2017 Dhivehi league according to the coach. For this he said he would tried to assemble a strong squad with talent players from the island as well as foreign players. The team president stated that they are trying to sign 4 foreign players and discussions are ongoing with the scouted players.
