In the ongoing Mamen Inter School Football Tournament Hiriya School has collectd the last slot on the final of the tournament after dfeating Rehendhi School by 3-1 in the semifinal.

The second semifinal was between two group leaders, who also won their quarter final matches deservingly with a satisfying performance.

Hiriya, the purple boys have been so fierce on attack in their previous games, on the other hand, Rehendhi has superbly defended most of the opponent attacks in their games as well. Coming into the semifinal, both sides were aiming to the last slot of the final as the first slot was already deservingly achieved by Imaduddin School defeating strong Ghaazee School.

It was Hiriya, who started the game well. It did not take long enough to open the purple scoring account for the night. Just eight minutes into the game, Abdulla Ibn Shifaau Ibn Rashah took the lead for the purple side. But Rehendhi was not to settle for it. The star performing player from Rehendhi throughout the tournament, Captain Mohamed Dhalf at the 19^th minute came onto rescue his side. He levelled the game with his brilliant individual skill goal. It was the most skillful solo goal scored by a player so far in the tournament.

That was it, after Rehendhi equalizer there were not much good scoring chances collected either side. When match reached half time point, both teams were on level.

As expected Hiriya came out more lethal in the second half, with the individual talenet of brilliantly performing purple trio at the front, Hiriya went on to win the game with the goals scored in the second half. It was Ismail Ekan who gave lead to his side for the second time in the match at the 48^th minute. Ekan’s goal was followed by a 69^th minute finishing by Aiham Hamdhoon, who doubled the lead for his side and watered the dream final of Rehendhi School.

Hiriya School will meet a side, Imaduddin, the orange army in the final, who has kept winning the games and progressing in the tournament, step by step, match by match, by winning the hearts of many. A very high intense final of this age group is expected.

Final match will be played on 20^th March, Wednesday, night at 2000 hrs , National Football Stadium.
