Yesterday’s evening game held Majeedhiyya against Ahmadhiyya. An important game for either side if they are to make it through.

The match was started strongly by Majeedhiyya and Ahmed Maish Mohamed struck in the 12^th minute. However, there wasn’t much to separate the sides as both teams were giving their all to get that spot in the quarters. All Ahmadhiyya’s tries to atleast take the game to a draw was denied by the Majeedhiyya defense. Towards the end of the half in the 34^th minute, Ahmed Ajulath of Majeedhiyya nets the second and last goal of the game. The second although was intense lack goals.

This win for Majeedhiyya means they are now through to the quarters where Ghaazee, Thaajuddin, Hiriya and Dharumavantha are waiting. A 100% record with 1 goal conceded is Majeedhiyya’s record in this current tournament however their goal difference is lower compared to the Hiriya side who also has a 100% record and 1 conceded goal but more number of goals than any other team except Ghaazee so far in the tournament. Ghaazee scored 22 goals meanwhile Hiriya scored 20.

The game between Aminiyya and Muhyiddin can decide the fate of Ahmadhiyya. If Aminiyya loses big against Muhyiddin, Ahmadhiyya may go through on goal difference.
