Maldives Soccer Mates win the Masters division of Penang Sports Club's International Soccer 7's Tournament. 

Winning the final match 4-1, Soccer Mates masters team becomes the first Maldivian team to win the 7 a-side tournament.

Soccer Mates(MSM) entered teams into two divisions of the tournament. Masters team is players over the age of fifty with three players over the age of forty five. Key players in the team were Maldives football legends Moosa Maniku(Kuda Moosa), Ismail Asif(Kuda Heena) and Abdulla Amir(Allo Amir). Kuda Moosa was selected the best player of the Century in the year 2000. Former New Radiant and Valencia player ended his playing career with Hura as player-coach. Moosa captained Maldives and was also a star player when Maldives won SAFF Championships silver medal in Sri Lanka losing 0-1 to Pakistan in the Final.

Ismail Asif(Kuda Heena) was also a star in that silver medal winning team. The speedster on route to the final. Kuda Heena started his career with Club Valencia, winning the Young Player of The Season on his debut season. Maldives most famous number 12 captained Maldives on several occasions. The unpredictable dribbler works as a coach and is known for his Tiki-Taka style he implements with his teams.

MSM's veterans teams also did well making it to the semi-finals and losing to the champions PSC. 

Both the teams were coaches by the veteran coach Ahmed Saleem(Heena Saleem), brother of Kuda Heena. Heena Saleem, Valencia and National player coaches after ending playing career coaching the likes of Club Valencia, Club Eagles and Youth Sports Club.
