Inter School: Thaajuddin regains the hope in the tournament after defeating Jamaluddin
Today's evening game ended unexpectedly in favour of Thaajuddin. And with much wanted win for the yellow submarine side, they have regained their hopes in the tournement.
The yellow side lost the previous game against Ghaazee meanwhile Jamaluddin came into the game after a win from their first game against a weak Huravee side. Both sides however played an intense and exciting game of football. The first goal of the game came at 12 minutes, courtesy of Hussain Iyaas Ahmed of Thaajuddin. That was that half's only goal. The second half started with a rejuvenated Thaajuddin side who scored a goal 14 minutes into it. Mohamed Saain Saleem's that winner was the second and last goal of the game.
Group A is now lead by Ghaazee School with six points and a staggering 16 goal difference. Jamaluddin still in second as they have a 6 goal advantage to Thaajuddin who are level on them with points, Huravee is bottom and out of the tournament.
Last group stage match of this group will be decisive for Jamaluddin and Thaajuddin. Thaajuddin will face the Huravee side, which seems the game will be in favor of the Yellow submarine side regarding to the form of both teams. On the other hand, Jamaluddin Blues have to give a hard fight to Ghaazee side in the last group stage match. The winning side of both fixtures will see the last spot for this group in the quarter finals.
Tomorrow's games will feature group B teams which will be worth a watch. An exciting afternoon at the National Stadium will showcase Dharumavantha against Kalaafaanu which will be followed by K.Gulhee School against Hiriya in the evening. That group is currently lead by Dharumavantha and is followed closely by Hiriya who has the same amount of points but 2 goals shy of the first place.
