Foakaidhoo Football Club has extended the contract of experienced duo Sufi (Hassan Sufiyanu) and Ammadey(Ahmed Mohamed).

The midfield duo played a major role in Foakaidhoo FC's first appearance back in the Dhivehi Premier League.

Sufi played in all of the Premier League games for Foakaidhoo last season. Sufi, the former under 21 National captain signed to Foakaidhoo on free transfer after Foakaidhoo qualified to the Premier League from Da Grande. Sufi also captained the BG Sports side that qualified to the Premier League from the second division. Sufi faded from the limelight with serious knee injuries. After starting again with the Da Grande and finishing the season strong with Foakaidhoo, Sufi is set to ignite the Foakaidhoo midfield.

Ammadey signed from Maalhos SC, played a key role last season for Foakaidhoo. Ammadey started most games in an unfamiliar forward position working as a false-nine striker. Although Ammadey did not score his assist rate and his ability to hold the ball up and to inspire the young players around him is astonishing. The former National player is best known as the captain of New Radiant. Ammadey also played for Club Eagles, Victory and Maziya.
