Maldives national football team began their preparations a week ago for the big match against Palestine on this 28th March in Asian Cup qualifiers.

Palestine already has arrived in the Maldives yesterday and probably they will begin the training in Male from today onward.

Maldives began with a 29 player squad and which will be reduced to 23 players today.

But this time also there will be only 2 slots for goal keepers in the  23 man squad. Faisal is the only active first choice keeper among the selected four. While the remaining are second choices at their clubs. Faisal was the goalie in the last year's Bangladesh 2016 Bangabandhu Gold Cup. And from the remaining 3 keepers, Mohamed Imran was last year's second choice keeper of national team featuring in few games in abroad for the nation. So we predict that Faisal and Imran will be the two keepers that makes the squad.
