Eydhafushi Holds The C-Certificate Course
Eydhafushi Holds FAM 'C' Certificate Course.
Eydhafushi one of the selected bases for the eight centers of development in the atoll holds the C-certificate course which ends on the 16th of January. With twenty two participants including one woman-coach, this group could play a huge role in the FAM road-map to develop football in the atolls.
AFC Instructor Ahmed Shareef(Dunga) is leading the course while the newly appointed D-Licence instructor Mohamed Adam will assist Dunga in this important course.
Eydhafushi, historically has been like a hive of talent in the Maldives. Performing in the top level, Eydhafushi upset a few big boys of first division in the 80s. Maldives International Ali Fasir(Sentey) is the top talent in Eydhafushi performing in the top tier of Maldives football at the moment. His brother Mohamed Fasir(Faatte) also made a name for himself playing for AYL in the first division.
This is the first ever C-Certificate course in Eydhafushi, though they held an FAM grassroots course earlier.
This year FAM has introduced the Licence system. Coaches who pass the coaching course will be given a certificate and a licence. The licence is to be renewed on expiry unlike the certificate.
