The legendary player of Míchel Salgado has arrived to Maldives today morning. He was warmly welcomed by the founder of MaldivesFootball.com, Shimaz Ali and the general secretary of Football Association of Maldives, Hussain Jawaz.

 

Salgado, who won 53 caps for his country between 1998 and 2006, the Real Madrid legend played 254 matches for the club and scored 4 times. And this year he has being worked as an assistant coach for the Egypt National Team.

 

Salgado is in Maldives for the 3rd Maldives Football Awards. Maldives Football Awards is an association award given to footballers during the year by MaldivesFootball.com in association with Football Association of Maldives. And also he will be playing in the official retirement charity match of former national team and Maldives number#1 goal keeper, the legend, Imran Mohamed. And Salgado will be playing for FA XI, the team selected by FAM including former and past most decorated players.

 

Maldives Football Awards will be held on 28th of this December and the most awaited goal keeper Imran' s retirement match will be played on 30th December.
