A resilient Bangladeshi side lead by Oscar Bruzon held tournament favorites India to 1-1 draw coming from behind having played most of the second half with 10 men. Yeasin Arafat’s 74’ minute header was enough for Bangladesh to secure a point.

Sunil Chhetri fired home in the 27’ minute from a Udanta Singh cut back to give the Blue Tigers an early lead. India continued to dominate much of the first half however, Bangladesh continued to disrupt the Blue tigers defense line on fast transition counter attacks.

Bangladesh Coach Oscar said during the post match press conference that he was confident his side will make it to the final. "Our football is still alive, Bangladesh football is alive, I want my team in the final" said Oscar.

Meanwhile Indian gaffer Igor Stimac said he was disappointed that his team game away easy passes in the final 15 minutes of the game. "We dominated for 75 minutes and with the red card for Bangladesh we took the game too easily, We played too many miss passes" said Stimac.
