Experienced Coach Ali Suzain has been appointed National Coach for the SAFF Championship.

One of the most successful coaches in Maldives, Suzain has been appointed as coach for SAFF Championship and an inviational tournament in Sri Lanka set for November.

Coach Suzain already the under-23 National Coach will be assisted by experienced coach Mahfooz Ismail(Imma) and legendary goalkeeper Imran. Long serving goalkeeper coach Aslam Abdul Raheem will work as goalkeeper coach.

Maldives hosting the SAFF games, are one of the strong teams in the tournament. Maldives will compete against India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal in a round robin. Top two teams will play the final match. SAFF Games are scheduled to be played between 1st to 13th of October.
